The Balchik palace complex in the northern Black Sea coast of Bulgaria is marking during summer 2011 a peak of weddings of couples from all over the world.

Over 30 couples from Bulgaria, the US, Switzerland, Australia, Romania and Slovakia have chosen the beautiful backdrop of the sea and the castle to tie the knot, the Culture Activities Department at the complex reports.

The Royal Wine House in The Palace Architecture & Park Complex in the Black Sea town of Balchik keeps a unique wine collection more than a century old.

The oldest wine dates back to 1878. More than 150 original bottles from end - 19 c. to 1924 are part of the collection. The wines were found by chance buried in the sand beneath the rubble of an old house. The collection is not for sale though a few collectors are keen to buy it.

Military airport in the Bulgarian Black Sea resort of Balchik will be transform into a civil, wrote “Klasa”. The project is evaluated for 30 million Bulgarian leva.

Part of the charter flights will arrived in Balchik during the summer seasons. The project is funded by the Bulgarian national budget.

The "Palace" complex in the Bulgarian Black Sea resort of Balchik had 400 000 visitors in 2010, both Bulgarian and foreign tourists, according to its management.

Balchik's Palace is a complex built in 1924 by Queen Maria of Romania at a time when the region of Southern Dobrudzha was part of Romania (1918-1940).

The Modern Arts Gallery in Dobrich will exhibit unique drawings on sport themes by Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Juan Miro as part of one of the most prestigious golf tournaments, BlackSeaRama to take place in Kavarna, northern Black Sea coast. The University Botanical Garden in Balchik on the Northern Black Sea coast, offers new attractions to nature lovers.

The first edition of “Dionisiopolis’ 2009” will take place in the Palace in Blachik from 12 – 14th June 2009, announced the mayor of Balchik, Nikolai Angelov. 10 wine cellars are invited to participate in the prestigious event. 7 star complex “Thracian Cliffs Golf and Marina and Spa Resort” to be developed between Balchik and Kavarna. The total value of the project exceeds 550 million Euro. The complex will be represented at V.I.P Property Exhibition, which will take place on the 25th and 26th of April in Hilton hotel in Sofia.
