Hunting tourism brought to Bulgaria nearly three million leva (1,5 million euro) in 2011.
It presents 30 percent increase compared to the figure from 2010. The data was announced by the Executive Forest Agency.
Over 4000 foreign hunters visited Bulgaria last year. Red deers are among the most expensive trophies, the price for one reaches over 50 000 euro. 13 of the fired deers took golden medals and 18 silver medals.

Bulgaria received a special award for long-standing participation in the biggest Ukrainian tourism exhibition UITT 2012.
The tourism fair took place from March 28 till March 30.
Bulgaria was presented at over 30 tourism companies and the Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism. During the MICE Ukraine 2012 meeting Bulgaria demonstrated its big opportunities for business and congress tourism development.
Over 700 exhibitors from 50 countries participated in UITT 2012.
