Bozhentsi

Location The village of Bozhentsi is situated on the road from Gabrovo to Veliko Tarnovo, just 28 km from Dryanovo and 15 km from Gabrovo.
The village is an architecture and ethnographic preserve, which represents the typical Bulgarian Revival architecture style.




The story: The old houses in Bozhentsi were built in the 18th, 19th century but they still keep their ancient appearance and valuable architectural and ethnographical monuments form the period of the Bulgarian Renaissance.





These Days: Nowadays the preserve has many nice authentic workshops, which display a variety of Bulgarian souveniers, wooden plates, rose oil, Bulgarian mummers dolls and many more. There are also nice traditional mehanas and places for accommodation, furnished in old Bulgarian style.
