Kovatchevitsa
Location: Kovachevitsa village is located just 24 kilometres from the town of Gotce Delchev.
Kovachevitca has kept its’ authentic spirit and it’s one of the most famous and beautiful bulgarian villages in the West Rhodope.
The houses are built by rocks, including the roofs, as only at the highest houses the last floor is made of wood.
In 1977 the village was announced an architectural reserve. It is located 1000 metres above the sea level.
The constant residents are just 50 people to the village, but induring the summer season a lot of more people prefer to visit the village for holiday and relax.
During the past few years many houses in Kovachevitca were refurbished and renovated.
