Congress and Cultural Tourism – a priority in Bulgaria for Next Year

Accent should be put on congress and cultural tourism for the next year in Bulgaria, was decided at a conference, which was held between the state agency for tourism in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Federation for Congress Tourism and Sofia Congress Board. The main goal will be Bulgaria to line up amongst the first 10 countries, developing business tourism worldwide.

For this year the growth of business travels in Bulgaria goes up to 22 % of all travels. The average stay of the business tourists is three days. The data also shows, that the congress tourists accommodate mainly in 4 and 5 star hotels. In Bulgaria the statistics also show that the expenses for the organizing of a congress meeting come up to 3000 USD.
