The regional museum in Pleven will present gladiator fights at the Strogozia fortress

The lifestyle and crafts in the Roman province Mizia will be presented by the Regional History Museum in Pleven, as part of the “European Heritage Days”.

Guests and residents of Pleven will be able to attend numerous cultural events between 26-28th September. A festive evening “Pleven – the birthplace of the folklore ensembles” will be held on September 26th from 5.30 PM. The program also includes the projection of the documentary film “The guardian” and a concert of ensemble for folk songs and dances “Ivan Valev – Pleven”

On September 27th – the international tourism day, studio “Golden century” will present the everyday life at the antique fortress “Strogozia”. 80 performers will present the crafts and professions from that period. Demonstrations of gladiator fights will be performed by Pankration group from Rome, Italy. The spectacles will be shown throughout the whole day.
