3-DAY HISTORIC AND EDUCATIONAL TOURS

3 DAYS: Feel the spirit of the Bulgarian Golden Age and Tsar Simeon, the great. Peep into the mysteries of Boyan the Magician and the Bogomils. Drink the magic water from THE “WINNERS’ SPRING”.
Route: Krepcha cave monastery – Buyuk Calle - Adventure tourism at the “Winners’spring” – Pliska and The Great Preslav.

PROGRAM DAY 1:

Departure from Sofia. Arrival to TERRA EUROPA hotel, dinner and instructions.

PROGRAM DAY 2:

Breakfast and transfer to Krepcha. Visit to the Mediaeval rock church with the most ancient inscription in Cyrillic alphabet. Lunch. Transfer to the “Winners’ spring”. Instructions and dressing. Making fire and election of a Chieftain. Lunch. Honey tasting. Archery contest. Making bone jewellery. Corn grinding, wool picking and wool spinning. Adoration in the sanctuary and placing of “lucks”. Fishing with spears. Making a totem on a copper plate. Milking sheep and goats. Yoghurt curdling. Dinner around the camp fire and local wine tasting. Folklore songs and accompaniment of bagpipes. An ancient ritual with jumping over the fire. Spending the night in the cave (if desired). Transfer for those, willing to spend the night in the hotel.

PROGRAM DAY 3:

Breakfast. Breakfast. Visit to ancient capitals of Bulgaria - Pliska and Veliki Preslav. Lectures on the Bulgaria Golden Age. Lunch. Lecture on the Christianisation of Bulgaria, tsar Boris, his son Simeon the Great and the legendary character of Boyan the Magician. Lunch and departure.
