Bulgaria is a very popular hunting destination.
Most of the territories, part of the Primorsko and Sozopol Municipalities are part of the Stranzha park. The Strandzha mountain itself is located in the southeastern part of the country and reaches Bourgas to the north. The southern end of the mountain reaches Istanbul. The relief is cut with low and rounded peaks. The highest point of the territory of Bulgaria is the Gradishteto peak 710 m above the sea level.
The two biggest rivers in the park are Rezvaya /or Rezovska/ and Veleka. Both of them are springing from the territory of Turkey. Rezovska river marks the border between Bulgaria and Turkey.
The climate is characterized with relatively warm winter, cool spring, sunny and dry summer and a pleasant autumn. It is formed under the continental influence from northwestern direction and the impact of the Black sea and the Mediterranean sea from the east and the south. The forests are mainly deciduous with oak trees.
National park Strandzha offers numerous options for hunting.
The main game is the red deer, deer and wild-boars. Jackals, wolfs, foxes, wild cat and weasels can also be seen in the site. Hunters are usually after woodcocks during their annual migration.
