Bulgaria's Danube City of Rousse to Have Second Navigable River

The administration of Bulgaria's largest Danube city of Rousse is currently considering a project for widening the estuary of the Rusenski Lom River in order to make navigable a three-kilometer stretch of it.

The news was announced by the Rousse Mayor Bozhidar Yotov himself after he returned from his visit to Germany and the Netherlands.

The widening of the Rusenski Lom estuary will make the river navigable for small barges, boats, and yachts, and will also serve to protect the areas...
