Hotel is very dated, we booked a Deluxe room and it was far from that! Shower was only luke warm in the morning (it was hot in the evenings though). As you can smoke anywhere in Bulgaria the rooms absolutely stunk. Hotel was very noisy with passing traffic and other hotel guests. I would not stay at The Rodina again, although most of the staff were polite and friendly, some did like to sit and stare at us!

The hotel was very very nice, most of the staff were very pleasant apart of the reception desk. Thought she was rather blunt, she did not even tell us whereabouts our room was, so we had to go and ask someone else after trying to find it ourselves. The bell boys were very helpful in getting us transport to the airport.

The hotel is worthed for its price.Perfect location and very beautiful view from the highest floors.Great service on the reception and the houskeeping woman did a good job. The room furniture is old but clean.I would stay again there for my next visit in Sofia.
