A Southeastern European conference called Go2Balkans begins in Sofia on November, 25 bringing together tour operators, hoteliers and municipalities from Bulgaria and other countries from the Balkan Peninsula.
The event is focused on popularizing the cultural and historical heritage and nature of these countries.
The conference will be held at the Inter Expo Center in Sofia for the 2nd year.

Bulgaria's capital city of Sofia is the most affordable destination for tourists in Europe in March with average prices of BGN 115, according to the Trivago Hotel Price Index.
According to the latest survey held in more than 50 European cities and resorts by hotel comparison website trivago.co.uk, the cheapest hotels in Bulgaria are located in Veliko Tarnovo and cost an average of BGN 76 per night.

Bulgaria's National Ethnographic Museum in Sofia is hosting an exhibition of the traditional Bulgarian good health charm "martenitsa".
It features the works of the Cooperative of Folk Crafts Masters and shows traditional martenitsas from various parts of Bulgaria and own unique models of the masters.
During the exhibition, which will continue through March 8, there will be workshops where the handier visitors could make their own martenitsas.

Sofia has been ranked the most affordable European travel destination by the Huffington Post’s European 3-Star Traveler Index.

The first ice sculpture festival in Bulgaria will take place in Sofia – in front of the VIVACOM Art Hall. Sofia ICE Fest starts on January 31, the organizers announced.
Sculptures and ice figures of crystal clear ice will be exhibited for a week in the centre of the capital city.
The Ice Festival figures are made by the sculptures Ruslan Korovkov and Irina Taflevskaya.

Euromonitor International released its latest Top City Destinations Ranking for 2011, covering 100 of the world's leading and most dynamic cities in terms of international tourist arrivals.

The idea for the National History Museum to be moved from Boyana residence into the Central Department Store (Tzum) is about to be realized.
The offer came from the director of the museum, Bozhidar Dimitrov, 3 years ago. According to his words, the National History Museum is one of the most visited in Sofia and will attract much more tourists if its location is in the central part of the capital.

After the opening of the second Serdica subway line on 31st of August, citizens as well as tourists have the great opportunity to enjoy an unusual exhibition of ancient pottery and other excavations in Serdica subway station in Sofia.
New excavations, have been made outside the metro station, in the top center of the Bulgarian capital. They reveal the remains of ancient fortress walls, towers and ancient streets.
