Sofia Golf Courses


General Info: Sofia is the capital city of Bulgaria. It is a cultural, administrative and industrial centre and also offers great opportunities for tourism, both business and leisure. For the traveler’s needs there is a wide range of all–star category hotels, restaurants, entertainment places. It is a capital city with many business and trade centres, dynamic night life, cultural and historical sightseeing attractions. The infrastructure is good. Sofia Airport has good flight connections with many cities along Europe. Rent-a-car services offered along the whole city, as well as on the territory of the whole country.

Golf Courses: The region along Sofia is one of the most attractive and popular ones for golf complexes investments. At this point the market of the golf courses and the golf property investments is growing. At the present moment only two golf courses are functioning, but many other are in process of construction and until 2010 Sofia Region is expected to have at least 5 operating golf courses.

Air Sofia Golf Club, Ihtiman
The first golf club in Sofia - Air Sofia Golf Club, Ihtiman opened doors in year 2000 in Ihtiman Village, near Sofia. It is superbly located just 40 km from Sofia on the Trakia Highway E-80 and only 30 km from Bulgaria's largest ski resort of Borovets. Enabling the golf player to own a property that is front line golf and within easy reach of the capital city and some of the best skiing in the country. Being 5,948 yards, 18-holes, with a par of 71 off the yellow tees, it is in every way a proper golf course. Accommodation is available at the golf course, or in the Air Sofia Hotel, which is only a five minute walk away. Other facilities include horse riding, swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, football, ten-pin bowling a fitness centre.

St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa
The second golf complex, which opened doors, in close vicinity to the city capital. The construction of the complex was finished in 2004. It is located in Ravno Pole Village, 10 km away east of Sofia, just 20 minutes away from Sofia’s downtown. St. Sofia Golf Club & Spa is the first oficially rated golf course in Bulgaria. The golf complex features 6,175-meter golf course, 18-hole, 72 par, pro shop, spa & meeting facilities. It has academy for all levels of tuition, from complete novice to experienced golfers. The golf course holds a variety of tournaments and championships.

Kuttina Golf Centre
Certtified with First Class Investor the golf complex is the third big golf complex nearby Sofia, which will be finished in 2009. The complex will feature 18 hole Championship golf course, Par 72, 9 hole golf course, Par 36, driving range, international Golf School, football pitch, tennis/squash courts, swimming pools, club house and residential Area, consisting of five-star hotel, apartments and chalets.
Sport Center Kuttina is born like a unique space, a new concept of residential area, an oasis isolated from any housing development but excellently communicated.

Pravets Golf Resort & Spa
Pravets developments is the 5th golf resort awarded with First Class Investor Certificate in Bulgaria. The resort is located 50 km southwest of Sofia, approximately 45 minutes away by car from Sofia Centre and 30 minutes by car from Sofia Airport. The golf complex is expected to open doors in 2009. The complex features a 18-hole PGA standard championship golf course, large driving range and putting green. A total length of 6510 from the back tees, classic par 72. The club house features golf shop and golf cart rental. The complex offers a unique spa & recreational centre with a variety of body wraps, massages and aromatherapy. First class tennis courts, volleyball courts and Olympic-size swimming pool available.
