The largest tourist expo – International Travel Trade Show, ITB, is opening in Berlin Tuesday with the participation of over 11 000 companies from 187 countries.

Bulgaria is represented by 32 tourist businesses and organizations with an exhibit displayed on 520 square meters. The motto of the 2010 presentation is - “Bulgaria – Modern, Year-Round Tourist Destination.”

For the first time now, Bulgarian racers will compete in Dakar Rally - the longest and most difficult automobile rally race. The Bulgarian team is composed of 4 competitors – Alexander Ivanov, his son Alexander Ivanov junior, Martin Gumenov and Zlatko Georgiev – longtime racers in off road rallies in Bulgaria, winners of many prizes. The car they will compete with is Toyota FJ Cruiser.

March will surprise us with a continuous period of winter temperatures and snow. These conditions will be felt from tomorrow around Bulgaria.

The weather until the end of the present day will remain mainly cloudy, with normal temperatures between 6 – 11 degrees. Later on the cloud from northwest will continue spreading and rainfall is expected.

All Bulgarians celebrate on March 1 a centuries-old tradition and exchange martenitsas on what is called the day of Baba Marta, which this year dawned with a shy sun, spelling relatively nice weather ahead.
