Bungee jumps from the Danube bridge 2 will be available on September 01st, 2013. Everyone is invited to try an unforgettable jump right over the magnificent Danube river. The event is part of the program of the Vidin Fair and is organized by the Vidin municipality, Sport club “Vertical world” and the management team of the bridge.

The medieval fortress “Baba Vida” will host a historical festival on August 30 and 31. “MODVS VIVENDI” as well as Chigot will entertain guests and residents of Vidin. An open air museum, coinage, medieval drinks tasting, archery, fencing and other medieval games will be performed in during the event. Guests of the festival will be able to participate in the activities. A live concert will be performed by Erinay.

A raft tour is organized along the Danube River, announced the mayor of the village of Koshava, Galina Radionova.
The raft departs from the northwestern Bulgarian town of Vidin to the village of Koshava, with a stop in the village of Antimovo. Around 50 tourists can float on the raft. Food and drinks are offered. From the village of Koshava the raft returns back to the town of Vidin. A one-way ticket costs BGN 40. The longest bridge over the Danube was officially inaugurated. It will connect Vidin (Bulgaria) and Calafat (Romania.) The bridge was built with the gratuitous help of the EU.

500 guests visited Baba Vida fortress during the weekend, a reporter of Radio Focus - Vidin announced. On Saturday the number of visitors was over 300 people. 200 visits were reported on Sunday.
"On Saturday we received 5 groups - students, 2 groups of adults from Kavarna, a group of students from Sofia University and many other tourists," the curator of the historical site said.

Tourists will be able to observe prehistoric drawings in the hall with prehistoric drawings in the Magura cave.
The drawings, which number over 750, are located at 375 metres under the ground and, in order to preserve them, access to them has been limited. The images are multi-layered and date to various periods, from the Epipaleolithic, through to the Neolithic and Eneolithic, to the beginning of the early Bronze Age.

The second Danube Bridge connecting Bulgaria and Romania will be launched and operational in May at the earliest, according to Bulgarian Transport Minister Kristian Krastev.
Krastev told reporters that the bridge is yet to receive the so-called Act 15 and Act 16 certificates, which would confirm that the construction has been finished.

The construction works on the Danube bridge 2, connecting Vidin and Calafat are almost ready. The top construction of the bridge is almost connected. The last pillar was recently placed and the equipment has reached its marginal height. Protection elements are now being installed around the pillar to prevent from eventual incidents.
