Comments On Hotel Teres In Kazanlak (2)
The hotel was positioned perfectly for walking to the town centre which was lovely with many modern shops and a beautiful square with surrounding gardens. The town was due to stage the Rose Festival a couple of days after we were leaving and the flowers were blooming everywhere around the square and gardens.
The hotel was near the entrance of a park with an interesting 4000 year old tomb which you could go in to see.
The Teres Hotel had different menus whether for snacks or a formal meal.
Everything was perfect except one small detail. The staff are not the most friendly people I have met in Bulgaria but they will be helpful without a smile to foreigners, whilst smiles and laughter with the Bulgarian guests. I have travelled many times in Bulgaria and this is commonplace in Bulgarian Hotels that are not in the mainstream holiday centres.
The bar closed a little to early for guests approx 11.30 PM.
I give this hotel 8 out of 10. It could so easily have been a 9. Graham Pilkington.
