All ski slopes in Bulgaria’s Bansko mountain resort will be opened on December 1st, manager of ski center Bansko Ivan Obreykov said.
19 ski slopes are to welcome tourists in the resort. Bansko has been equipped with two new ski slopes, a new four-seat ski lift, and a new tow-lift. 160 machines will provide the resort with artificial snow.

The legendary alpinist Rainhold Mesner is coming to Bansko. The ski season will be opened on 15th Deceber by Yanitsa Kostelich, Kjetil Aamot and Marc Ghirardelli.

The ski season in Bansko will start on 1st December. All of the ski slopes will be opened and all of the equipment will be fully functional, announced the head of the ski zone Ms Maya Hristoskova.

The megastars of the alpine ski Yanitsa Kostelich, Kjetil André Aamodt and Marc Ghirardelli will be among the special guests for the opening ceremony of the new skiing season in Bansko on 15th December. This was announced by the head of the ski zone in Bansko Mr. Ivan Obreikov from the “Ulen” company.

83 participations from 22 countries from 5 continents are expected on this years 7th edition of International festival for alpinist films in Bansko ski resort.
The fest will start on November 29 and will continue for 4 days, the organizers informed.

The mild weather in Bulgaria, at the end of October and the beginning of November will come to an end this week, which will set in with temperatures below zero and snowfalls, forecasts say.

The lowest temperatures - between 5-7C below zero - will be recorded in Northeastern Bulgaria and in the plains at higher altitudes.

The municipality and the citizens of Bansko ski resort will polish the city for the opening of the new winter season in the middle of December.

The people from Bansko will clean streets, pavements, green areas from rubbish. This is municipality initiative, which aims to transform Bansko in a cozy place for tourists.
