The mayor of Bansko, Mr. Alexander Kravarov, and the head of the municipal council, Mr. Gerogie Ikonomov, met the British ambassador in Bulgaria, Mr. Steve Williams and the deputy consul Denis Baker. The mayor of Bansko announced that the British ambassador was interested in the perspectives of Bansko as a tourist destination, because many of the tourists visiting Bansko are British.
The future investments in infrastructure were also part of the discussions, as well as the personal security of the British citizens visiting Bansko. This was not the first visit of the ambassador in Bansko, as he had already visited the resort for the New Year holidays. His visit is part of his national round around the country. The general impressions of the ambassador by the ski zone in Bansko are that the ski zone is the best in Bulgaria.
