10th edition of the Balkan festival for films and TV programs for children and youths in Bansko

The 10th edition of the Balkan festival for films and TV programs for children and youths “Art Amofora” will be opened on 29 September 2009 from 9:30 AM in Nikola Vaptsarov community centre, Bansko.

The film shows will start after 2:00 Pm in the exhibition hall in Nikola Vaptsarov museum.

The newest films and TV programs for children and youths, produced by the leading film studios and TV campaigns from the Balkan and Eurasian countries will be presented during the three days of the festival.

The festival has long ago crossed the boundaries of the Balkans and attracts and presents the newest headlines from different international cinema and TV organizations.

The forthcoming edition of the festival will present 34 feature, documentary and animation films and TV programs from Germany, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and etc. They will compete in the following categories featured movies, TV programs, documentary films, science fiction movies and animation.
Head of the organization committee of the festival is the famous Bulgaria cinema director – ak. Lyudmil Staikov.

This year the festival will be held for the 10th time and will also include a round table on the subject “Children-Screen-Culture” and children from Association “Bulgarian child and youth parliament” from Bulgaria, guests and participants in the event will take part in it.

Organizers of the event are the International federation “Golden Amphora”, the “Culture ministry”, The “National child protection association”, the National film centre, The Russian culture-information centre, Bansko municipal and etc.
