The best alpine skiers of the world arrived in Bansko for the dramatic round of the World cup slalom.

Kempinski Grand Arena Hotels was once again in the very heart of the event, welcoming all ski super stars from 17 February 2012.
The best alpine skiers arrived in Bansko for the regular starts of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup - first the men, then the ladies. This "double" hosting within one season happens in Bulgaria for the first time ever and once again proves the international respect Bansko has gained as one of the premiere winter resorts in Europe.

Ski WORLD CUP Bansko, was held this weekend 18-19 February 2012 and AUDI FIS Ladies’ Alpine Ski WORLD CUP Bansko will be held next weekend 25-26 February 2012.

Marcel Hirscher won his second race in two days on the Banderitsa course, taking a World Cup slalom Sunday ahead of Andre Myhrer of Sweden. Hirscher is now just 18 points behind leader Ivica Kostelic in the overall standings, with the Croatian sidelined with a knee injury.

This week, on February 24th 2012, a unique VIP Gala dinner will take place in the VIP tent at the ski centre, at 1500 meters above sea level! The charity event will feature 5 of the best female skiers on the planet - Lindsey Vonn, Maria Riesch, Anja Paerson, Lara Gut and Julia Mancuso - and will raise funds to support young talents of ski sport in Bulgaria. 200 selected guests will savor an outstanding gourmet menu, created by the Master Chef of Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko –Francesco Calore and the hotel will contribute generously to the charity raffle.
During these memorable two weeks many other activities and parties will also take place at the "Gallery" restaurant and the cozy Piano Bar "Sing Sing". And in the end, after an adrenaline-pumping competition, the skiers will be able to relax and recharge their batteries at the exceptional Zalez SPA and Wellness center.
