Day 1:

Sofia - Bansko (156 km, 2 h 30 min)

Accommodation in a 3 star hotel.
Sightseeing city tour: The Museum House of Nikola Vaptsarov established in 1952, The House Museum of Neofit Rilski (1793 – 1881), The Holy Trinity church built in 1835, an exhibition of icons of the Bansko icon-painting school, etc.

The architecture of the typical houses in Bansko from the period of Revival (18th – 19th c.) can be seen in the rest of the museum complexes. The Velyanova house is one of the best models of the Revival architecture.

There are opportunities for:
- horseback riding;
- walking tour in the Pirin mountain;
- rent a bicycle;
- visiting of Pirin golf club;
- organizing a traditional Bulgarian dinner in a typical local tavern.

Day 2:

Bansko – Belitsa – Dobarsko

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure for the town of Belitsa.
Visiting the park of the “dancing” bears.
Departure for the village of Dobarsko and visiting the temple of St. Teodor Tiron and Teodor Stratilat built in 1614 and protected by UNESCO.

Departure for Bansko.
Optional visiting of Dobrinishte and Banya SPA resorts with open-air swimming pools with hot mineral water.

Free time. 1 overnight stay.

Day 3:

Bansko – Rila monastery (95 km, 1 h 30 min)

Breakfast in the hotel.
Departure for Rila Monastery, one of the symbols of Bulgaria, located in the Rila mountain (1147 m).
It was founded in the first half of the 10th c. In 1983 it was included in the List of World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The total area which the holy cloister takes, together with the church, the residential, and the farming buildings, is 8800 sq. m.

Lunch (optional). Free time. Departure for Sofia.
