Banya Spa and Wellness

General information: Banya resort is situated on the bank of Stryama River in a small hollow between Sashtinska Sredna Gora and Surnena Gora Mountains, just 47 km north of Hissar spa resort.

Climate: The climate in the region is temperate continental and the annual average temperature is 11.5º C. The summer is temperate hot and the winter is mild. The snow coverage in the resorts lasts about 30 days. September and October are the driest months in the year. This time is also the most favourable period for healing of cordial diseases.

Mineral water: The mineral water in Banya resort starts from several springs. The mineral water is slightly mineralized, hyperthermal, with alkaline reaction and it is characterized ad fluorine, silicon, hydro-carbonate-sulfate-sodium, with radon, hydrogen sulfade and iron content. In addition to the mineral waters, there is a peat bog in the resort with valuable peaty-mineral curative mud.

- Diseases of the reproductive organs and sterility;
- Treatment of functional nervous diseases;
- Initial stages of hypertonicity and hypotonicy;

* The mineral water is suitable for inhalations in cases of respiratory diseases and irrigation procedures are applicable in cases of dental and gynecological illnesses. The water is favourable for specific prophylaxis of osteoporosis and tooth caries. It could also be utilized for common and sports prophylaxis for straightening the vital powers of the body.
