Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas has launched a new interactive tourist guide, which is the first of its type in Bulgaria.
The guide is a project of the Tourism Department of the Burgas Municipality, the regional history museum and the local tourism college.
It is available on the website of the Burgas Tourist Information Center in Bulgarian and English; by the end of October it is also going to have versions in German and Russian. The guide will also be distributed in print at the...

Dance and drums show on the beach in Bourgas will be performed all summer long in Bourgas. The show will take place each Thursday between 8.30 PM – 10 PM. The last show will take place on 6th September. The events are supported by Bourgas municipal, the Ministry of culture and other associations.

Bansko will host a bike rally for the 24th, 25th and 26th July. The race will take place the first two days. The third day is planned as a “fun” day near Dobrinishte.
The participation in the rally will cost 50 BGN and the money will be kept in a trust fund to be invested in the future editions of the rally.
The event is run as a “non profit event” and any funds generated from the event will be used to promote Bansko and the mountain biking in the region.

Karl May, general technical director of “Fraport Twinstar Airport Management” JSC announced that the company will invest 35 million Euro in the infrastructure of Bourgas airport this year. Archeologists discovered the mythical ancient tower featuring in the coat of arms of the city of Burgas, reports Elena Dimitrova for StandartNews.
The find proved that Bourgas has a history of at least 20 centuries. Bulgarian retail developer ZBS said it will take wraps off the country’s first open-air shopping mall in 2010.
The Strand shopping centre should open doors in Burgas, on the northern Black Sea coast.
Stores in open-air malls line pedestrian walkways in an area complete with recreation places. The shopping centres have lower construction and maintenance costs than regular malls permitting smaller rental prices, the investor said.

The first permanent flight of the low-cost air carrier Wizz connecting Bulgaria's Black Sea city Burgas with the UK capital London was completed Sunday.
There will be Burgas-London flights every Sunday except in December-January, when there will be two flights per week.

A sensational golden discovery was made in the South of Sakar Mountain by a team of archaeologists under the governance of Ph.D. Borislav Borislavov from Sofia University "Climent Ohridski" and Nadezhda Ivanova - vice-chief (National Institute Of Archaeology And Museum - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences)
