New Air Routes from Ireland to Bulgaria to be Opened

Irish national transporter ‘Aer Lingus' opens flights from Dublin to Bourgas, Easier Travel web site announced. This will be the first air route to Bulgaria for the air company and the state of Eire in general.

‘Aer Lingus' airplanes will fly twice a week to Bourgas, transporting Irish tourists to Bulgarian Black Sea coast, starting from the middle of June 2008.

Airport Expansion Wins top Investment Certificate

Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, a Fraport AG company, has received a First Class Investor certificate from Bulgaria's investment promotion authority for its project for the expansion of the Burgas airport which it operates under a concession arrangement. The company, which also operates the local Varna airport, will phase an investment of 49.6 mln euro through '09, including 32 mln euro slated for a new passenger terminal. Prices at the seaside down with about 20%

Hotel prices at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast have decreased by an average of 20%. This is what chairman of the National hospitality management club Iliyan Ivanov said. He added that, it is a tradition for prices to report serious decrease as of early September, and hotels offer lower prices to attract more tourists.
This year’s summer tourist season is expected to end in mid October.

Yachting championship in Bulgaria

The World Youth Championship in class 470 was opened on the premises of Port Bourgas yacht club on July 22.
Competitors earned points for the forthcoming Olympic Games in Beijing.
A total of 164 competitors, divided into 82 teams from 21 countries, took part in the championship.
They were accommodated in the new building of the club, which was opened especially for the occasion.

Night lifeguards on the beach in Bourgas for July Morning

Six lifeguards will patrol along the stripe of the popular Bourgas beach from 10 PM on 31st of July to 7 o’clock AM on the next morning.

The concessionary of ‘”Bourgas North” will take care of the safety of everyone who will welcome the sun rise on the coastline. Crowds of Foreign Tourists Invade Bulgaria's Burgas Airport

Bulgaria's Burgas Airport staff was really surprised Tuesday when 8000 foreign tourists flooded the airport grounds, Bulgarian National TV Channel reported.

A total of 8000 Scandinavians, Germans and Britons stepped on Bulgarian land and the airport expects another 10 000 to land by midnight on Tuesday. Airport staff had to attend 113 charter flights in a single day, which is a record number for the month of May.

The Trace for Cherno More Highway was Chosen

The green variant for the trace of the future highway “Cherno More”, which is to connect Bourgas and Varna, was approved, the transport minister Petar Mutavchiev said.
The highway is planned to start from Vetren, pass through Rudnik Quarter, the villages of Laka, Kamenar, Kableshkovo, Tankovo and Kosharitsa, and to come out at Obzor Resort.

Summer Season 2007 on the Black Sea has started

A great ceremony held on March 25 marked the beginning of the tourist season for Bulgaria’s southern Black Sea coast.
The ceremony was held at the airport in the city of Bourgas, minutes before the arrival of the first tourists from Denmark who will spend two weeks in Nessebar, near the Slunchev Bryag resort. The predictions are for Bourgas airport to welcome charter flights mainly from Germany, England, Poland, Israel and the Scandinavian countries.

Holiday Inn Builds Hotels in Varna and Burgas

Holiday Inn plans to invest in the construction of hotels in the Bulgarian coastal cities of Varna and Burgas. Recently Holiday Inn opened its first hotel in the residential complex Mladost in Sofia that was rated as the best city hotel for 2006. Some 15 million euro have been invested in the project.
