One of the World's Top Enologists with Bulgarian Wine

news.bg, Diana Stoykova

One of the world's most famous enologists, Michel Rolan, arrives in Bulgaria on October 2 to present his new brand of Bulgarian wines.
In 2005 he starts collaboration with one of Bulgaria's leading wine producers "Telish".

The French specialist will consult them on the newly founded cellar Castra Rubra.

The project for developing 250 hectares of vines in South Bulgaria has influenced Rolan's decision to include Bulgaria on his wine map.

"Castra Rubra" is the name of an early Byzantian castle, found in the region of Harmanli during archaeological digging in the summer. It is situated on the ancient road Via Diagonalis, which connected Rome with Constantinople (present Istanbul).

This cellar will be Bulgaria's most expensive investment in wine production.
