Tour description:

Bulgarian part of the Eastern Rhodopes mountains is an area of exceptional nature where Vultures, White-tailed eagles, wild horses, tortoises, wolves and jackals roam in the wild. During this trip we will offer you unforgettable adventures in various wildlife hides. In addition to the watching and photo safari you enjoy the lovely panoramic views and rich biodiversity which ranks one of the highest in Europe. We show you places that will give you a taste of the local culture and cuisine, meet you with indigenous people and show you traditional folklore and architecture.

ITINERARY

Day 1.

Transfer from the Airport Sofia / Plovdiv to the lake of Kardzhali in Eastern Rhodopes where you will meat your guide to discuss the next days program. Accommodation will be at the bank of the lake in a nice traditional architecture style hotel.

Day 2-3.

After the light walking tour of Kardzhali and surroundings so that you can get used to the local culture and atmosphere you depart to a game reserve where you will observe Fallow deer, and Roe deer during the day. The reserve is situated in some of the wildest part of the mountain, on the south shore of the reservoir Studen kladenets. It offers unfogettable panoramic views, exceptional nature and rich biodiversity. You will spend the night in a lovely lodge and early in the morning you will hide in a special place where watching of Griffon, and Egyptian vultures, White tailed eagle, and Raven will be organized. The Fox, and Wild boar is also possible to show up. You will have a rest in the lodge after the hide adventure or you can enjoy a canoe trip in the reservoir Studen kladenets. In the afternoon depart to Ivaylovgrad which is located in the border area with Greece. It features with Mediterannean climate, exotic flora and various fauna.

Day 4.

Early in the morning you enter in another hide to watch Black vultures, and Jackals. Later in the day you walk through the place where the wild Karakachan horses roam. The nearby village you will pass through will make you feel like you are 100 years back in time. Transfer from Ivaylovgrad to the village of Gorno pole in Madzharovo area for accommodation in the guest house of a non-conventional organic farm where all the food is ecological and home made.

Day 5.

Early morning enter in a wildlife hide to watch Griffon, and Egyptian vultures fighting for food together with the Wolf. Afternoon will be devoted to relax in the charming village of Gorno pole.

Day 6.

Transfer to Sofia for your departure flight.
