Specialists scanned the bottom of “Koprinka” Dam, to make the borders of the ancient town Sevtopolis, which is situated under the water.

Experts from the Thracian Institute and the Oceanology Institute from The BAS participated in the studies.
The ancient Sevtopolis was built during the IV th century BC by Sevt III.

The experts managed to find the walls of the Thracian town and marked its corner points.

Rose oil prices in Bulgaria could reach 5000 euro per kg, according to predictions of producers.

The current price varies between 4500 to 4700 euro per kg but it may increase if the global market faces shortage of rose oil, investor.bg reported.

Bulgaria is the only European Union country which produces large quantities of world-quality rose oil, representative of rose oil company Natural Aromatic Ivan Dimitrov said.

The perfume called ‘Palazzo' was presented in Fendi's head office in the centre of Rome Author of the perfume is Francois Demachy.

Except for the traditional Bulgarian savior, ‘Palazzo' contains also essences from orange blossoms, tangerine, bergamot, lemon, pink pepper and jasmine.

Fendi was purchased a couple of years ago from the French stylish monster LVMH.

The price of 1 kg Bulgarian rose flower will go up to the levels of 1.80 to 1.90 BGN ( about 1 Euro), according to the information of the rose producers in the city of Kazanlak.

The prices are rising because of the scarcity of free work hand and the low volumes of roses per decare grown this year. The rose-picking season is over already with realized 300 kg per decare.

The whole land sown with roses this year is 35,000 decares in the area of Kazanlak city.

Queen of Roses for 2007 is the 19th- year-old Lora Georgieva. Her crowning started the official opening of the 2007 Rose Festival in Kazanlak city in Bulgaria.

Traditionally each year the beautiful celebrations for the blossom of the roses take place in the first week of June. The ceremonies recreate the legend of the divine origin of the Queen of Roses. Many celebrations, dances and a crown procession of the queen take place in Kazanlak.

Discovery TV channel is filming the sunken Thracian city of Sevtopolis as part of a movie, dedicated to Bulgaria's Thracian Kings' Valley near the town of Kazanlak.

The underwater shoots will be done by a team of Bulgarian divers, leaded by Koliyo Radukov.

Sevtopolis' remains are at a depth of 22-27 meters and the palace of its King Sevt III - 18 meters under the water surface.

The season of rose – picking was opened in Wednesday in the Bulgarian Rose Valley. It promises record levels of rose oil production, which is used for the production of the most high quality perfumes, famous worldwide. This was announced by representatives of the local industry.
