95% of hotel places in Pamporovo resort are taken for the New Year Eve’s Holidays.
After the start of the tourist season, hoteliers register a successful week.
Over 900 people, mainly Englishman and Irish have passed the ski-school training in Pamporovo.
Russians, Germans, Greek and Turkish have also preferred Pamporovo to spend the holidays.

The heavy snow cover in Bulgaria’s biggest resorts of Bansko, Borovets and Pamporovo returned the expectations of hoteliers and tour operators for strong winter season.
The three resorts and Vitosha mountain were full with skiers during the passed weekend, informed Dnevnik daily.
The branch expects high incomes round New Year’s Eve too. Most of the tourist sites are already booked for the night.

The ski slope Gorna Koriya is situated just 500 metres under the Kom peak in the Balkan mountain range. The perfectly maintained slope is serviced by a drug lift. The mountain this year surprises skiers with over 100 cm snow cover.
The official start of the new skiing season was marked just a few days ago and the slopes are already filled with the clamour of enthusiastic skiers. Music and salutes echoed in the mountain.

In May 2008 the “Kom 2016” company starts the construction of a majour sport – tourism complex. The first stage plans the construction of a triple chair lift. The ski slope will be also widened. Additional slopes for beginners will be constructed and the total length of the ski slopes is expected reach 2000m.
