Over 8 Million Euro Will be Invested in Chepelare

Over 8 million Euros will be invested in ski centre “Mechi Chal” right before the start of the new skiing season, announced the investor company “Chepelare kurort”.

A brand new high speed quad as well as snow cannons will start operating in the resort for the forthcoming winter seasan. The lift will have a capacity of 2000 persons per hour and will take skiers to Mechi Cahl peak for 9 minutes and 30 sec. The total length of the lift will be 2.7 m and is now substituting the old double quad....

Vasil Petrov Opens National Jazz Fest in Haskovo

One of the most popular Bulgarian jazz performers – Vasil Petrov will open the national jazz festival in Haskovo tonight. The festival will continue until 1st October and musicians from the Czechs republic, Poland and Turkey will perform.

Bulgaria Boasts Growing Revenues from Tourism

The revenues from tourism in Bulgaria have grown by 17.6 percent as compared to the last year. The growth has been registered by the beginning of August 2008. With a view to this upward trend by end-year the increase might well reach 20 percent, according to Anelia Krushkova, head of the State Tourism Agency. Bulgaria Shows Unique Age-old State Symbols on Independence Day

A unique historic state symbols of Bulgarian rulers dating back from the country's founding were gathered in an exhibition opened in the old capital Veliko Tarnovo on Monday, the Independence Day.

The throne and the scepter of the later Bulgarian Tsar Ferdinand I are among the 500 relics on the display.

Visitors could also see a ring, a scepter and a belt tag that belonged to Khan Kubrat as well as a copper coin of Ivan-Asen II.

Museum of wine will open doors in a cave

6000 sorts of wine will be presented in the museum of wine, which will open doors in Pleven today.

The attractive collection will be shown in a beautiful cave nearby the Totlebenov dam in the “Kailaka” park.

Some of the wines are exceptionally expensive; the exhibition will also include 30 – 100 year old wines.
Specialists expect the museum to be transformed into the most attractive tourism site in the region. Visitors will have the chance to take a wine tasting tour for just 10 – 20...
