Last 3 Abused Bears Arrive from Serbia to Bulgaria's Belitsa Dancing Bears Park

The "FOUR PAWS" Foundation had successfully transported the last three registered dancing bears from Serbia to the Bulgarian "Dancing Bears" refuge and park in Belitsa, the Foundation reported.

The bears are going to be housed in a special sector of the park, prepared just for them. The park is located at the foot of the Rila mountain, 20 km from the Bansko winter resort.

A group of experts will encourage the investments in golf tourism in Bulgaria

An expert work group was summoned to develop the main tendencies for development of golf tourism in Bulgaria. The group was summoned by order of the Prime Minister Mr. Sergey Stanishev. The workgroup is led by Mr. Asen Gagauzov (Minister of the Regional Development and development) and Mr. Dzhevdzhet Charakov (Minister the environment and waters).

Bourgas Airport plans to invest 35 million Euro in infrastructure

Karl May, general technical director of “Fraport Twinstar Airport Management” JSC announced that the company will invest 35 million Euro in the infrastructure of Bourgas airport this year. The company plans to execute rehabilitation of the electricity net and to build a system for noise observation. Albena will Invest Several Million BGN in the New Summer Season

Krassimir Stanev, executive director of Albena JSC announced that the company will invest several million BGN for the forthcoming summer season.

The company plans an improvement of the infrastructure in the resort. He added that the sites around the swimming pools will be improved and free bicycles will be available for transportation around the resort.

The Tourism Consultant Council in Vidin approved a strategy for the development of the industry in the Vidin Region

A strategy for the development of tourism in Vidin Region for the period 2008 – 2013 was approved by the Tourism Consultant Council. The priority plans are to develop culture, history and religious tourism in the region. Modernizing and refurbishing of the tourism infrastructure and development of new tourism products, destination and attractions are also some of the main goals of the strategy.
