Bulgarian Archaeologists Uncover New Roman Finds in Plovdiv

Bulgarian archaeologists have revealed two Roman-time streets, a private home of a Roman notable, and Roman artifacts in the southern Bulgarian city of Plovdiv.

The new finds were discovered close to the Roman amphitheater in Plovdiv, after the excavation work that originally started there in 1976 was resumed at the beginning of July 2009.

Bulgaria Will be World Class Golf Destination in 7 Years – Experts Say

Bulgaria has the potential and will become a world class golf destination in seven to ten years.

However, in order for this to be achieved both the business and the government must collaborate, experts who wished to remain anonymous told Novinite.com.

Pomorie will host the “Sea of wine” festival

Pomorie will host the festival “Sea of wine” for the 8th time in a row. The festival will be officially opened on 31 July from 7.00 PM with an exhibition of wine producers. The party will begin form 8.30 with a festive concert in the centre of the town. The festival will continue until 03 September 2009.

An international music fest for disabled people will be held during the event. The festival “Sea of wine” will be closed with an official ceremony for the opening of the grape picking...

Sunny weather and hot beach emotions

The Black Sea coast in Bulgaria is sunny, air temperatures reaching to 31-33C, seawater temperatures, 26-27C.

Record high temperatures are expected for the next weeks. We highly recommend everyone to drink plenty of fluids (such as water and sports drinks), but avoid alcohol, caffeine, and tea which may lead to dehydration. Make sure, that you wear hats and light-colored, lightweight, loose clothes.

France Experts Introduce Wine Tours in Bulgaria

Eight Bulgarian wine tours have been selected two French experts - Claude Samson (oenologist), and Pascal Teto (marketing specialist in vine and wine field).

This was announced Tuesday by the Chair of the State Tourist Agency, Aneliya Krushkova, at a press conference introducing the new tourist product, "Wine Tours".
