Adventure Tourism Brings EUR 15 million in Bulgaria

The annual revenues from adventure, eco and rural tourism in Bulgaria total some 15 million euro, announced the president of the Bulgarian Association for Alternative Tourism Lyubomir Popyordanov during the presentation of "A Guide to Hospitality and Adventure".

Wizz Air to launch four new routes from Sofia

Hungarian no-frills airline Wizz Air will fly to four new destinations from Sofia airport, said executive vice-president John Stephenson.

As of May 22, 2010, the carrier will carry out three flights a week to Madrid, Paris, Frankfurt and Bologna, with one-way fares starting from BGN 33.99 with taxes, excluding luggage, insurance and bank transfer surcharges.

10th edition of the Balkan festival for films and TV programs for children and youths in Bansko

The 10th edition of the Balkan festival for films and TV programs for children and youths “Art Amofora” will be opened on 29 September 2009 from 9:30 AM in Nikola Vaptsarov community centre, Bansko.

The film shows will start after 2:00 Pm in the exhibition hall in Nikola Vaptsarov museum.

“Baba Vida” presents graphics by Goya and Rembrandt

Over 40 graphics by famous artists as Goya, Rembrandt, Dore, Gavarni and Dürer will be exhibited today in “Baba Vida”. Thus with the exhibition “European graphics” Vidin will participate in the European days of the cultural inheritance.
The unique artworks were granted by Mr. Bogomil Rainov to the “Nikola Petkov” Art Gallery.
In October the Art Gallery will present artworks by Chavdar Petrov, Aneta Dragushano and etc. - to mark the official holiday of the town “Dimitrovden”.

Over 10 000 tourists have visited the Belohradchik Rocks for the holidays

Over 10 000 tourists have visited the “Kaleto” fortress and the “Magura” cave nearby Belogradchik for the past 4 holiday days, announced Mr. Lyubomir Veselinov, from the local municipality. Over 230 000 visitors have seen the unique rock formations from the beginning of the year.
Thus Belogradchik municipality turns into an attraction of a great significance for the historical and culture tourism in Bulgaria.
