Official opening of the renewal Bourgas Sea Garden

Tale Wall in the Sea Garden in Bourgas was renewed. Start of the official opening was given by the Bourgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov and the manager of "Regional Policy"department for Bulgaria of European Commission - Carsten Rasmussen.

The park is recovered under the project “Improvement of public significant spaces in favor of social integration and sustainable urban development in Bourgas municipality".

Bulgaria hosts the biggest golf tournament in the Balkans

The largest international golf competition in the Balkans - Balkan Challenge Trophy will be held on July, 1 and 2 at the course of BlackSeaRama in Bulgaria. Golf tournament is organized by the Bulgarian Golf Association. The president of the Committee for Development of R & A - Keith Hodzhkinsan visited Bulgaria for the golf tournament.

More cruises on Danube river in summer 2011

The cruises on the Bulgarian part of Danube river increased double, said Rumen Vidov – the mayor of Vidin, reported Darik Radio.

In 2010 at the port of Vidin stopped 150 cruise ships. The number of cruise ships stopped at the Bulgarian port last years was below 100, says the mayor.

Because of the high port charges and services at all ports river cruises are more expensive than the sea. Despite the higher price more tourists prefer to spend their vacation trip on river cruises.

Bulgaria expected massive increase in German tourists

Over 20% more German tourists are expected to flock to Bulgaria's sea resorts during the ongoing summer season.

A total of 135 000 Germans are expected to visit the Balkan countries sea resorts, according to Kalin Sutev, manager of MTS Incoming BTS company, partners of German Rewe Touristik.

For the first time since 10 years, high-ranked Rewe Touristik representatives are on a visit to Bulgaria and are set to meet representatives of the states hotel owners.

Bulgaria looks forward to record number of Romanian and Polish tourists

Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts expect an even higher number of Romanian tourists in summer 2011, according to hotel managers.

"Figures are already indicating that there will be a substantial growth in the number of Romanian tourists. It is another matter if this boom can compensate for the decrease in the number of tourists from other destinations," Ivan Portnih, CEO of Grand Hotel Varna, is quoted as...
