Ryanair to fly to Plovdiv

No-frills airline Ryaniair will launch flights to Bulgaria but will initially land just in the second city of Plovdiv, said Ivo Marinov, deputy minister of economy, energy and tourism. Ivelina Grozdeva of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association urged that the carrier should be allowed to also operate flights to Sofia, Bourgas and Varna. Bansko becomes a winter capital on the Balkans

Bansko resort is nominated for a winter capital of the Balkans. This was announced by Blagoi Ralin, head of the BHRA, yesterday in Bansko. Bansko hosted a meeting of the International and Balkan association of hoteliers and restauranteurs.

Spring book bazaar in Sofia

Bulgaria Expects 6 Million Foreign Tourists in 2010

A total of 8-8.5 million tourists will make their vacations in Bulgaria in 2010, and some 6 million are expected to come from abroad.

This means that there will be a 5% increase in the number of foreign tourists year-on-year, according to a forecast of the Institute for Analysis and Estimates in Tourism.

Good expectations for the summer season

Bulgaria expects 5% increase in the number of tourists traveling in Bulgaria, compared to the last year.

This was announced by the deputy minister of economy, energetics and tourism Ivo Marinov.
He added that a new communication campaign will be launched by the end of June. Pirin Golf & C.C. hosted the first camp of The National Golf Team for 2010

The fist golf camp of the National Golf Team of Bulgaria for this year began on May 14. The camp was arranged in cooperation with the BGA (PBGA) and Alan Rogut – Golf development Manager in BGA.
