The European Union will finance tourism project along the mouth of the Danube river

The down flow of the Danube river will be popularized by a Bulgarian- Romanian trans-border project.
The financing is from euro funds for 1.5 million BGN for the project “Trans-border region General Toshevo – Negru Voda – the unknown tourism destination”, announced from the Bulgarian municipality.

The tourism and ecology resources of the two regions will be explored and advertized. The main goal of the project is to create conditions for the development of alternative means of tourism, combined with the preservation of the natural resources. The project also plans the improvement of infrastructure and the easy access to protected areas and sights of culture-history significance. Four tourism sights will be restored in Bulgaria and one in Romania. 3.3 km long road will be reconstructed with the program.
