Bulgaria expects about 800 000 Russian tourists in 2011

The number of Russian tourists in Bulgaria has increased in February and March 2011 in comparison with the same period in 2010. This was announced by the Bulgarian Deputy Minister of the Economy, Energy and Tourism Ivo Marinov on the International Fair ITM in Moscow (Russia).

Bulgaria expects a twice more Russian tourists in 2011 than in 2010. The previous year the country has been visited by 32% more Russians compared to 2009.

Russian tour operators and tourists are going to have the opportunity to apply for visas during the summer season 2011 in the Bulgarian Consulate in Russia.

There is going to be an accelerated visa issue for organized tourists and free of charge visas for children under 18 years old, who visit children camps in Bulgaria, said the General Bulgarian Consul in Russia - Angel Georgiev.
