Bulgaria to patent it curative mud in the European union

VisitBulgaria.net, July 29, 2013

Bulgaria present the curative mud in Brussels, that it be recognized as a traditional, specific to our country and patented product. This is recorded in the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Agriculture from 2014 to 2020. If the EU approves our request, healing mud can be a very profitable business. As a trademark will rely on EU funds for its promotion abroad.
They will benefit both manufacturers and SPAs, which are using it. Besides mud we will want the EU to recognize our trademark, and rose oil, and products thereof. It will also demand recognition for dairy and meat products, local wines (as Mavroud and Melnik) honeydew honey from Strandzha and dessert sorts of grapes.
