VisitBulgaria.NET

An acrobat sourvacar will descend from the sky to light the fire of the 21st International festival of the masquerade games “Sourva 2012”. The festival will gather more than 6 000 masked people on 28th and 29th January in Pernik.

The spectacle “The magic of Sourva” is directed for the opening of the festival and will be performed by slow agency “Art masters”.
Following the tradition the mayor of the town will pass the key to the town in the hands of the leader of the festival. A huge fire will be lighted and dancers will perform. Powerful illuminations will light the night before “Sourva 2012”.

The two festival days will transform Pernik into an international masquerade arena. This is the oldest festival in Bulgaria and was firstly held in 1969.
