On the occasion of 6th September 2007 – the Unification day, the official holiday of Plovdiv Municipality and the aviation show, which will take place in Plovdiv Airport “Sky for Everyone” we offer an exciting and unforgettable short vacation in Plovdiv.

We highly recommend visiting the following routes in the city and nearby Plovdiv :

- Visit at the Air Show “Sky for Everyone” – on Plovdiv airport, just 10 km from the centre of the city.

The official program of Air Show “Sky for Everyone”:

5th September 2007 – 10.30AM – 3.30 PM - Land exposition, Festival, Air demonstrations of “Red arrows”; Air demonstrations of light aircrafts; Air demonstrations of “ Patrouille de France”; Air demonstrations of light aircrafts and helicopters.
6th September 2007 – 11.00 AM – 2.00 PM - Land exposition; Air demonstrations of “ Patrouille de France”; Air demonstrations of light aircrafts and helicopters.
Plovdiv municipal provides free transport for all who wish to participate to the Air Show. The busses start in 7.30 AM from “Tsar Bouris III” bvld, right in front of the military canteen.

- Visit Autumn Art Saloon in Plovdiv
1-30 September 2007 – National Autumn Exhibitions “from the French- fashion to Europe”, expositions in the Old Town.
5-9 September – XVI International puppet theatre festival “Two are not enough – three are too many”.
7-10 September – International Festival “Plovdiv Jazz evenings”;
10-13 September – XI Autumn International Theatre Festival “Stage in the Crossroad”;
15th September – Official Holiday of the Old Town
24-26 September – “Plovdiv Rock Fest”
28 September after 8.00PM – Night of the museums and galleries; free entrance for all museums and galleries in the city.
26 – 19 September – Festival of the Guitar

Here are some tips for unforgettable activates in Plovdiv city and the nearby vicinities:

- A walk in the Old Town (situated on the three hills). You can visit the Antique theatre (II century), to indulge in the revival atmosphere of the beautiful old houses: Kiumdjiohlu (the Ethnographic museum), Georgiady (Exposition from the Revival period – renovated on 6th September), Balabanaovata house and the house of Hindliyan, the church “st. Constantine and Elena” – and architectural, carving and icon painting jewel, numerous galleries and many others…
You can sit in some of the numerous cafes or restaurants, enjoying the beauty, bringing back the traditional and spiritual values of our forefathers from the Revival period.

- Visit to the Assenova Fortress, rising high on the steep rocks on the road Assenovgrad – Vachkovo, a monument from the period of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom
