The new passenger airport terminal of the city of Plovdiv will be launched on July 1.
The information was reported for Darik radio by Diana Hitova, manager from the airport's PR Department.
Hitova said that the airport terminal in Bulgaria's second largest city - Plovdiv, will open 2 months ahead of schedule due to the good partnership between the companies involved in the project.

Plovdiv Airport Ltd., in association with “Mlad Orel” (Young Eagle) Club organizes aviation festival for the Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics – April, 12.
The event is supported by the Minister of Transport – Petar Mutafchiev, Nikolai Tsonev – Minister of defense and the mayor of Plovdiv – Slavcho Atanasov.

The construction of the new terminal at Plovdiv airport starts today. The Prime minister of Bulgaria, Mr. Sergey Stanishev will announce the start of the construction works.

The 18th edition of the International Farming Exhibition Agra opened in Plovdiv, the second-biggest town in Bulgaria. The forum was inaugurated by Agriculture and Food Minister Valeri Tsvetanov. In 2010 the Spring Fair in Plovdiv will be separated in four line exhibitions. Some of them will take place earlier – in the beginning of the year, because of the business specificity. The change had been necessitated according the participants’ request, specified Georgi Gergov, who was the executive manager of the Fair.

New events will complete the most important fairs, organized by the Plovdiv International Fairs in 2009. A total number of 40 business forums and the traditional Christmas Bazaar are included in the next year calendar.

“Lufthansa” will use the airport for emergency landing
Experts have estimated that the realization of the investment program for Plovdiv Airport will cost 15 million BGN. The International Technology Fair opened on Monday in the city of Plovdiv with a record number of 211 novelties and with an exhibit area 12% larger compared to last year.
Among the 211 novelties, 46 are international. It is expected that 150,000 visitors are going to come and see the week-long exhibits.
3,202 businesses from 45 countries participate in the 64th edition of the Fair. The industrial branches presented the most are the production of machinery and construction.
