Golf in Sliven

General Info: Sliven is a beautiful mountain town, located at the foothills of Sliven Balkan Mountain range. The town is in immediate proximity to the Blue Rocks Natural Park. The region is rich in rock and cave formations, beautiful waterfalls, Karst and cave formations as well different tourist routes. In 2004 the largest golf course of Bulgaria was opened in Sliven. Untill then the town has become a popular destination for golf players as well.

Sliven Golf Club: Sliven Golf Course is located in the heart of Bulgaria, only 90 km far away from the Black Sea. The golf course is owned by Air Sofia, the company that opened Air Sofia Golf Course, near Ihtiman, Sofia region.
Sliven golf course was built tor less than ten months and was officially opened by the Mayor of the city Mr. Yordan Lechkov on May 24th, 2004. It is the largest Bulgarian golf course with total length of 6010 meters and par 71. It offers spectacular views to the Sliven Balkan Mountain. The golf course is a public open 18-holes course.
The complex offers hotel, restaurant and professional instructors. A golf pro shop is at players’ disposal. Equipment for rent is offered as well. The course also has driving range and greens, where demonstration courses are often held.
