Fire dancing, a ritual having its roots in the Bulgarian Strandzha Mountain, was revived in the centre of Sofia as part of a campaign to protect the mountain area, which is a state natural park.

A coalition of 17 eco activist organizations organized the event, making it a symbolic summoning of the Supreme Administrative Court so that the magistrates focus their attention on the protection of the national park from destruction.

From 14 June to 18 June, in front of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, Summer Expo and EXTREME Expo will gather all lovers and fans of adventures and alternative sports. Bulgarian fans of the hard rocking INXS were led to an excess of enthusiasm on Friday night when the band finally staged their debut show in Sofia.

The first surprise for the audience was J.D. Fortune's deep, captivating voice, because many people were a bit skeptical over his participation in INXS. But after the young Canadian opened his mouth and sang the first notes, the screaming audience just could not stop singing along with him.
