The General Assembly of the Sommeliers in Sofia

The General Assembly of the Sommeliers will be held from May 15 to May 20 in Sofia. Experts in the branch will vie in the World Sommelier's Competition. For the first time the prestigious contest will take place outside France. Bulgaria has won a 4-year-long competition for host of the event. Sofia - Most Favorable European City for Business Tourism

Bulgaria's capital is the most favorable European city for business tourism.
A traveling businessman spends in Sofia round 184 EUR per day.
It's almost cheap for the business tourist also in Budapest (259 EUR) and Warsaw (270 EUR).
The data comes from Milan's Chamber of Commerce, using statistics of Economist Intelligence Unit for 2006.

According to the research Milan is also not so expensive for the businessmen. In the city one person spends round 416 EUR per day.

Hundreds of Bulgarian, Foreign Companies Join Spa Expo in Sofia

More than 320 companies from 20 countries are to present their products at the international spa expo that has been opened Thursday in the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

"Bulgaria could delight each and every tourist, who decides to visit it," the State Tourism Agency Chairwoman Aneliya Krushkova said at the opening ceremony.

International Market 'Vacation & SPA Expo 2008' Opened

Chairman of State Agency of Tourism (SAT) Anelia Krushkova will open today the international tourism market ‘Vacation & SPA Expo 2008' in the National Palace of Culture (NDK).
This is the 25th, jubilee edition of the expo.

Tourist agencies and hotels, and more than 20 municipal and regional associations are expected to present to the visitors of expo.

Double-decker sightseeing tours hit Sofia streets in May

City Sightseeing Bulgaria plans to become the first company to offer bus tours in Sofia downtown, company official Branislava Nedyalkova told Dnevnik daily.

The firm would present detailed plans on February 22 2008, at the Holiday&Spa expo at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia.

Although it is yet to make a final decision on the routes that would be used for the tours and the locations for photo stops, but it hopes to launch the service in May, Nedyalkova said.

Goran Bregovic brings orchestra to Sofia club in February

World famous Sarajevo-born musician and composer Goran Bregovic will bring his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra to stage a two-hour concert in Sofia’s Nai Club on February 27 2008.
