The 29th Edition of the HOLIDAY & SPA EXPO will take place in INTER EXPO CENTER in Sofia, from 16-18 February 2012.
The Exhibition is held under the patronage of Ministry of the Economy, Energy and Tourism with the partnership of Bulgarian Association of Travel Agents, Bulgarian Hotel & Restaurant Association, Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators and Travel Agents, Sofia Tourism Council, Sofia Municipality.

In July Sofia Airport serviced 336,000 passengers – by 9400 more year-on-year, accounting for a 3 percent growth.
Traffic along regular international lines grew by the same percentage reaching 305,000 passengers during the month.
The most passengers flew with flights run by Bulgaria Air, Wizz Air and Lufthansa Group. They have increased the number of their weekly flights to Sofia.
25,000 passengers were serviced in domestic flights, meaning a 53 percent growth year-on-year.

The metro station in Sofia downtown may soon happen to house the residence of Byzantine Emperor Constantine I. The archeologists have not confirmed for sure the identity of the findings as excavations continue. All facts for now, however, lean towards the variant that the palace of the first Christian Emperor lies just under the square in front of St Nedelya Church.

Bulgarian capital Sofia is preparing for the massive Sofia Rocks festival Friday featuring as headliners heavy metal legislators Judas Priest with special guests rock icons Whitesnake.
Support comes from a varied array of bands in the mellower and heavier register of rock, from Mike & the Mechanics, to UK heavy metal veterans Saxon, to US glam rockers Slade.

The first Realistic 3D-Projection on a building will be shown to all guests and inhabitants of Sofia.
On Friday the 24th of June 2011 and Saturday the 25th of June 2011, LG Electronics and MP-Studio will introduce a large-scale commercial 3D-Outdoor projection in Bulgaria, at the “Ivan Vazov” National Theatre in Sofia.
The spectacular show starts at 9.30 pm.

Exhibitions of photographs from the lower Danube and the underwater world opened this week in Sofia. They are relieve with the work of the world environmental organization WWF for Bulgarian Nature protection.
“Danube – the true river” - photo exhibition opened on June, 8. It includes 30 photos of six artists from Bulgaria, Romania, Austria and France.

“A Museum of the Bulgarian Contemporary Art will be inaugurated within days in Sofia, reported Sofia Mayor,” Yordanka Fandakova. It is constructed on EU financing and is located in proximity to Earth and People Museum in Southern Park. Some of the exhibits will be placed in the open in the museum’s garden. Within a month a Museum of Totalitarian Art will be opened in Darvenitsa neighbourhood, Sofia.

The National Historical Museum participated in the Nights of the museums on 14th May 2011 organized from the European Council and UNESCO.
Visitors can observe the permanent exhibition and the masterpieces of ancient art in the exhibition "Thrace and the ancient world - a collection Vasil Bozhkov" from 9:30 to 1:00 after midnight.

St. Sofia Golf Club organized six months training program for beginners. The program starts on May, 09.
Golf instructor will train participants in six group lessons about the basic practices and rules like posture, swoop and removal of the ball to the hole.
There is and a train program for those who want “BGA – Green card” which allows to practice the game in all the Bulgarian and European courses.

Bulgaria's Sofia Airport will invest 1.6 million euro in improving security and passenger services this year, the transport ministry said.
The investment aims to make the airport meet European Union requirements regarding airport security and passenger services, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Some 1.5 million levs will go to buy 130 surveillance cameras, to add to the current 320 cameras at Sofia airport’s Terminals 1 and 2.
