Sofia International Film Fest Obsesses Bulgaria's Capital in March

The 12th edition of International Sofia Film Fest starts on March 6-16 with additional program on March 17 to March 23 in Sofia, Plovdiv and Burgas.
The fest includes 100 movies, 20 documentary and 60 short movies.
The film marathon will be opened on March 6 in Hall 1 of National Palace of Culture (NDK) with a movie of famous Bulgarian director Rangel Vulchanov called ‘And Where Do We Go Today'.

Main accent on this year's edition will be placed on the contemporary Russian cinema.
The Russian program will present the most successful movies of 2007 - the competitors for Oscar for foreign movie - ‘12' of Nikita Mihalkov and ‘Mongol' by Sergey Bodrov - senior.

The big prize for best film on an international competition will be bestowed for 6th time in a row.

The Dutch director Jos Stelling will be presented on a panorama with 7 films.

Big interest provoke the premiere of the cinema production called ‘World is big and salvation stalks from everywhere' - a common production of Bulgaria, Germany, Slovenia and Hungary.

A total of 10 Bulgarian films finished after March 2007 will be presented on the Bulgarian panorama.

150 foreign guests are expected to arrive for the Film Fest.
