More cruises on Danube river in summer 2011

VisitBulgaria.net, 29 June 2011

The cruises on the Bulgarian part of Danube river increased double, said Rumen Vidov – the mayor of Vidin, reported Darik Radio.

In 2010 at the port of Vidin stopped 150 cruise ships. The number of cruise ships stopped at the Bulgarian port last years was below 100, says the mayor.

Because of the high port charges and services at all ports river cruises are more expensive than the sea. Despite the higher price more tourists prefer to spend their vacation trip on river cruises.

Tourists who trip with a cruise ship on the Danube are citizens of Europe and America. The Cruise ships passing through the Bulgarian part of Danube stopped at ports of Vidin and Rousse.
